A Water and vinegar mixture can also help to remove lime scale build up. It can help with appliances like the shower. Unscrew the shower head and then submerge it in the mixture.

Washing machines can also be treated by adding one gallon of vinegar into the water during a normal cycle. Once the cycle is finished the hard water deposits should have gone.
