Two basic welding types
If your water pipes are leaking or they need proper fitting, you must call Plumber Hackney. Our plumber is trained to complete the fitting job within a matter of hours. You will be surprised at the efficiency and the money charged for the job. Our plumber also advises on the type of fitting your pipe requires in accordance with its nature. For instance, if you have metallic or aluminum pipes installed in your house, the fitting of them will be different. They require a different kind of connection. However, if you have the plastic pipes installed, you would require a different connection. For the aluminum or metallic pipes, the conventional welding is the best option. This welding has been used since the invention of pipes to connect two or more pipes together. This welding basically involves the heating mechanism. The heating torch is held above the pipes which are to be connected. When the heating is turned on, the pipes are placed underneath and they melt from the edges. With the heat right above, the pipes are pushed together with force and their molten edges become one under heat. This process requires a lot of safety precautions taken by the plumber. For plastic pipes, the solvent welding is the best option. Solvent welding basically involves the same mechanism as that of the conventional welding. The only difference is the involvement of the solvent instead of heating torch. The solvent has the ability to melt the plastic pipes from any point the plumber wants. When the solvent is poured on the edges of the pipes, they are pushed together and hence they become one entity. This proves a very firm and strong connection point for the plastic pipes. The plumber is supposed to be very careful when handling the solvent. Only specified quantity of the solvent is supposed to be poured on the edges of the pipes to avoid hazards. “
